The Museum of Science and Industry (“MSI”) is committed to protecting our donors’ privacy. Except as noted below, MSI will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information, however collected, with anyone else, nor will we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. MSI will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information for commercial purposes.

MSI participates in the Chicago Cultural Co-Op (“Co-Op”), a collection of local cultural institutions seeking to support one another through cooperative marketing and fundraising efforts. Participants in the Co-Op do not get access to any participant’s donor list, including any donor personal information, but have the option of choosing to have mailings about the participant be sent to another participant’s donor list through a third-party service that manages the Co-Op.

MSI may disclose a donor’s personal information to third-party service providers who are contracted by MSI to provide services. These service providers have access to MSI’s donor personal information only as necessary to perform services for MSI. Except for these listed exceptions and for required disclosures to law enforcement or other purposes specifically required by law, MSI does not disclose donor personal information to third parties without first obtaining their permission.

Donors may opt out of receiving communications from MSI or from being included in the Chicago Co-Op, in one of two ways:
