Food Allergies + Special Dietary Needs

For allergen information or questions regarding menu items in our dining areas, please contact our Food Service Team by email or by phone at (773) 753-6869. We ask that you contact the Food Service Team at least two weeks in advance of your visit to ensure you have the best dining experience while at the Museum. Please note that we do not have an allergen-free kitchen. Guests with special dietary needs or who suffer from sensitive or life-threatening food allergies are welcome to bring prepared foods to the Museum.

Color Vision Deficiency

For individuals with color vision deficiency (CVD), EnChroma Color Blind Glasses are available for use on a first come, first serve basis. EnChroma glasses enable people with red-green color blindness to see an expanded range of clear, vibrant, distinct color and enjoy enhanced detail and depth perception.

Visit the Guest Services Coat Check in the Entry Hall and ask for the EnChroma glasses. A form of identification (driver's license, membership card, or student ID) will be held at Coat Check until the glasses are returned.
